IDENTIFYING HEARING LOSS EARLIER

One of the reasons hearing loss often goes undetected for so long and gradually worsens is because very few of us regularly have our hearing tested.

Most of us commonly decide to have our hearing tested when we feel that we're either misunderstanding someone or need to ask them to repeat themselves, instead of scheduling a proactive baseline hearing assessment. Nevertheless, accurate testing enables the early identification of potential hearing loss and allows for preventative strategies to help reduce further deterioration and safeguard long-term auditory health.

Is there someone in your life that should be encouraged to have their hearing tested? Their hearing may be showing some signs of decline, you may suspect that their hearing may not be as great as it once was or, it just might be patently obvious to everyone else aside from themselves (eg. TV volume VERY loud).

If you have someone in mind, please encourage them to at least have a baseline hearing assessment. You'll be glad you did and maybe your special someone will be too.

Have a wonderful day!
